A new work for 2024 exploring the treasure we leave discarded in the landscape through using objects found whilst walking.
Plaster casts have been taken from these objects and then been finished with watercolours with the surface incised.
The fungal form is inspired by my time at The Armitt during 2024, & the fungal paintings of Beatrix Potter.
Sitting on a mirror the artwork every drawn surface can be seen giving life to the notion of a 'spirit pool', a space to see beyond ourselves, whilst the work is also a question of how we value & use the natural world.
